Paddy smith from Navan Co.Meath has being described as one of Ireland’s best blues harmonica players. He recently returned from a 2 week tour of NYC where he sold out shows every night and was a guest on CBS News NYC. His original album “Let Those Blues In” has being described as a modern blues classic. The 12 track album composed by Paddy bares his soul and has being at number one on coast 2 coast radio USA for the month of may 2016. Paddy Smith & His Band have also being booked for this years Hay Festival in Kells county Meath, June 24th. Paddy spent ten years playing in Chicago where he became a very well known and highly respected blues musician; he also played the, House Of Blues, Chicago with bands such as the, Jimmy Burn Blues Band. Paddy is also the subject of an award winning short film which depicts Paddy’s life and music called, Let Those Blues In. The film has won awards at several film festivals including the, Sky Road Film Festival Galway and has being nominated for five USA film festivals including NYC, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC. Paddy’s style is that of the Mississippi delta blues men, raw and passionate and a must see show for blues fans.
